How this started!
Hello! My name is teresa and I am a Girl Scout in NY, USA. I am 13 years old. My grandmother was born here and her sister's house has now been inherited by my family. We come here every year and stay in this historic place. I am on a mission to get my Silver Award-an award given to girls who complete the task of doing and creating a project that will benefit others. You must think of an original idea, get it approved by council and then start working on it. You also must complete a certain number of hours within a years time. I was paired up with a mentor who has coincidentally been to Aub, Germany. This was quite a surprise since, as you can probably tell, it is not a very big tourist spot! So with help from my mentor, the mayor of Aub and his daughter, my computer adviser, the local history professor, and my dad, - I have been able to bring you-THIS!!!!! This website is an ongoing effort to help others explore the wonders of this little place with so many hidden treasures! I wanted to share that with you! This is written in English to let those who don't speak German be able to visit. It has been translated into German via a friend who lives in Aub. The mayor enjoyed it so much that he wants the local people to be able to experience it as well. This is such an honor! Many here don't speak English and can use this site to show others around. Have fun and discover something new. I hope you have lots of fun!
ENJOY YOUR TIME HERE IN AUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would LOVE to hear how this worked out for you-was it convenient, did you enjoy it, are there things you did or did not like, and just your overall experience so drop me an email at [email protected] and feel free to fill out the question below! thanks so much! enjoy!
